She uses modalities such as acupuncture, essential oil therapy, herbal therapy, medical spa treatments, massage therapy, class IV cold laser therapy, canine rehabilitation, and food therapy to create a holistic approach to veterinary practices. Dr. Ashley Geoghegan, known affectionately as Dr. G, has spent a lifetime devoted to animal care. Dr. G graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and served in the U.S. Army as a veterinary officer, treating bomb dogs, search and rescue dogs, and even President Bush’s guard dogs. After starting her own mobile veterinary practice, Dr. G saw a need for alternative medical treatments to address chronic conditions, particularly in elderly pets. In order to provide the best, most comprehensive care possible, Dr. G sought formal training in Eastern veterinary medicine at The Chi Institute under the world-renowned holistic veterinarian, Dr. Huisheng Xie. Additionally, she studied at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute to fully help her geriatric patients function at their best. At VetNaturally™, she practices Integrative Medicine, which is a combination of Traditional Chinese Veterinary medicine (TCVM), canine rehabilitation and conventional Modern medicine.
Dr. G is married to Dr. Shaun Carpenter co-founder and CEO of MedCentris – a wound medicine company. They have 4 children, 1 dog, 1 cat, and some fish. Their home is loud, crazy, and full of love and fun.
