Dr. Ashley Geoghegan, known affectionately as Dr. G, has spent a lifetime devoted to animal care. Dr. G graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and served in the U.S. Army as a veterinary officer, treating bomb dogs, search and rescue dogs, and even President Bush’s guard dogs. After starting her own mobile veterinary practice, Dr. G saw a need for alternative medical treatments to address chronic conditions, particularly in elderly pets. In order to provide the best, most comprehensive care possible, Dr. G sought formal training in Eastern veterinary medicine at The Chi Institute under the world-renowned holistic veterinarian, Dr. Huisheng Xie. Additionally, she studied at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute to fully help her geriatric patients function at their best. At VetNaturally™, she practices Integrative Medicine, which is a combination of Traditional Chinese Veterinary medicine (TCVM), canine rehabilitation and conventional Modern medicine.
Dr. G is married to Dr. Shaun Carpenter co-founder and CEO of MedCentris – a wound medicine company. They have 4 children, 1 dog, 1 cat, and some fish. Their home is loud, crazy, and full of love and fun.
Dr. Jeff Schumacher is a highly accomplished veterinarian with a diverse range of expertise, hailing from the picturesque region of Seattle and currently residing in Southern Louisiana for over two decades. His educational journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in zoology from the prestigious University of Washington in 1996, followed by a veterinary degree from LSU in 2007. Prior to embarking on his veterinary career, Dr. Jeff honorably served his nation as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army, dedicating himself to both God and Country.
Throughout his distinguished veterinary tenure, Dr. Jeff Schumacher has held various roles, showcasing his versatility and dedication to animal care. He has excelled as a general practitioner, emergency doctor, shelter veterinarian, and clinical veterinarian/surgeon. His remarkable surgical acumen spans an extensive repertoire, encompassing procedures performed on dogs, cats, rabbits, pigs, monkeys, and even a raccoon.
Currently, Dr. Jeff Schumacher resides in Mandeville, where he nurtures a loving home environment for his two children, two dogs (Benny and the Jett), and two cats (Junior and Olive). Beyond his compassionate commitment to saving lives and providing exceptional care to his patients at VetNaturally, Dr. Jeff indulges in his passion for music as a skilled keyboardist, lending his talents to two renowned bands. Additionally, he finds solace in the pages of literature, delights in cultivating gardens, finds tranquility in fishing, and revels in thrilling adventures of dirt biking alongside his children.
